7 Ways To Help You Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Best Life Hayat

How to step out of your comfort zone: Your comfort zone is the place where you feel the most comfortable and you become very keen to keep yourself stuck there forever if possible.

The word comfortable is mostly what you aim for in your life. For that, sometimes you get confused about the way and time of managing being comfortable within your comfort zone.

Outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens.” -Anonymous

However, It’s like a cave you enter voluntarily and start adapting your life to living there until you lose contact with real life out there. You forget how to take risks, fight for developing yourself, or take serious steps in your life to grow up including in your career.

The moment you set yourself free and start courageously shaping your life, you will enjoy being yourself and making important decisions in everything in your life.

Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.” – Brian Tracy

Start challenging yourself immediately to overcome your weakness and get out to a positive and bright life. Here are 7 ways to help you step out of your comfort zone.

1. Reach out for reasons in your heart

Each person has been brought up in a different environment where characters and reactions become unpredictable to each other. Sometimes, you don’t even understand your own heart and what’s in your mind.

Follow your heart, listen to your inner voice, and stop caring about what others think.” –  Roy T. Bennett

Reach out for deep explanations of your actions that need a thorough observation to be perceived. You will find out the reasons for being trapped in that cave. You will know the answers that will help you face yourself bravely and overcome your weakness.

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

A better understanding and deeper exploration will make you know why you are not stepping forward and what will force you to take that one step that holds you from reaching your dreams.

2. Face your fears

After looking into your heart, did you see fear? Yes, it’s fear that holds you back. There may be other reasons, but your fears have grown stronger than your determination because you got used to being negative for a long time.

“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.” – Henry Ford

Face those fears as they are only in your mind. Fears are on the dark side of your life where you can’t see your real self or capabilities properly. They are barriers that need to be removed to see the light.

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” – Marie Curie

You will have to be prepared to spot your fears and stop them from controlling your life. Because there are all success, prosperity, and happiness on the other side of fear, you must face it and overcome it.

3. Build new habits

New habits, new thoughts, then a new life. Every new experience you get, adds to your character the courage and boldness to make you ready for the next one.

Once you develop a new habit now and then, then you will go out of your comfort zone regularly and it will become a habit of you too.

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. You can say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Learn something new, acquire a new skill, or help someone randomly. Imagine how many points you will score in your record for breaking the barrier and starting something you weren’t used to doing.

4. Take small steps

Even the smallest steps show you are moving forward. It’s fine to take one single step at a time to train your mind to accept moving out of comfort and laziness slowly.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” – Lao-tzu

Once you succeed in achieving a single goal, you will find it motivating and easily push you to take a bigger risk the next time.

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tiptoe if you must, but take a step.” – Naeem Callaway

Don’t belittle your effort or let negative thoughts prevent you from being brave. Yes, it’s brave to go slowly at first. One day, you will be walking at the fastest speed you have because you didn’t give up middle-wise.

5. Practice believing in yourself

Believing in yourself is the foundation of your success. The beliefs you hold in your heart are the pushing power directing you through life. If you believe you can succeed, then you will.

“Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place. Have faith in your abilities work hard, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish.” – Brad Henry

However, if you doubt your ability to step out of your comfort zone, you will find thousands of reasons to support your belief.

Believe in yourself enough to take the challenge and conquer your fears. It’s not easy to believe in your abilities all the time, but it’s easier than objecting and doubting yourself.

“Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going.” – Chantal Sutherland

Moreover, even going through with being the only person who believes in you will be enough to motivate you to do better than expected because it’s your battle and the final result will only be yours.

The difference between getting comfortable and discomfort is how you feel about them. It’s a given you will choose to feel comfortable because it means peace and effort to you.

Discomfort may not be a signal for something hurtful. It may call for more effort, but it produces a positive outcome. It’s how you perceive the fact that will help you shape it in your heart.

“Remember that you won’t always feel uncomfortable about the same things because your comfort zone will expand.” – Alex Honnold

Tie your discomfort to a big dream or a meaningful plan you ought to achieve regardless of your awkwardness. The feelings will disappear with time, but the achievement will last with you.

“Know, or find your why, as it can get you through almost every experience.” – Viktor Frankl

7. Stay positive

There is no enemy in your life bigger than your negativity. It brings you down no matter how positive your situation is. Stay positive and carry hope within your heart.

“If you are positive, you’ll see opportunities instead of obstacles.” – Widad Akrawi

A positive mindset will attract good people and good things in your life. The hard work will be enjoyable and the fear you hold in your mind will not be noticeable through your positive thoughts.

“No matter what you’re going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things.” – Demi Lovato
